:?? [color=red]My cast ON row seems to be my right side. When i go to work something up the design ends up looking like it is on the wrong side. What do i need to do. Add an extra row? I know there are different types of casting on. I hold my needle in my right using my thumb on my left to loop over the needle to cas on.
anyone have any ideals for me???
It really all depends on what pattern you are using. When you start your pattern, does it specify whether the first row to work is a wrong side row or a right side row?? I find that the cast on itself doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of a garment. Maybe I’m misunderstanding your question though, could you elaborate a bit more?
If you are using the long-tail cast-on, your first row of knit stitches is built in. This means the next row will be the purl row (or whatever the first WS row is).
i hope i am replying correctly. this is new for me.
it seems like my cast on side is a neater better looking row. but sometimes when the pattern don’t say anything about right side, wrong side then it sometimes ends up on the wrong side. it probably don’t matter, but i can see the difference.
thanks.
