Hi all
I’m trying to knit some hand warmers. in the pattern it says for the thumb opening to cast off a certain amount of stitches in the middle of one row then cast them back on again in the middle of the next row. How do i do this and join them on to the stitches i’ve already knit in that row?

Casting on stitches in the middle of a row
As you cast off, your working yarn will come with you, so just cast off and finish the row. On the way back, use the backward loop cast on for however many stitches you need to cast on and then finish the row.
