Hi. My name is Lauri and I’m new to this forum. I need to cast on in purl at the end of the row. I found a video on YouTube on casting on in plain at end of row which was very helpful but nothing on purl. Can anyone help? Thanks.
Welcome to the forum!
Usually, when you cast on at the end of a row, you need to take the needle with the live sts in the left hand to cast on. Then you can work a knit or cable cast on. Effectively you’re casting on at the beginning of the next row.
In that case, you could cast on knit sts which will appear as purls at the end of the previous row.
I assume this cast on stitch won’t be hidden in a seam?
What is the name of your pattern?
Here’s a video for casting on in purl (see 1:25min), again at the beginning of a row in case the above isn’t what you need.
Thanks. I’ll try that method. I’ve never had this before.
