I’d like to make some toe covers for those who are having to wear a cast on their foot during the cold weather. I don’t know how to knit socks so just doing the toe part of a sock won’t work, and I’d prefer not to have to use circular needles either. I’m thinking that it would look like the toe of a sock with a ribbed straight edge at the top or else 2 cords to tie behind the heel. Once I have a basic pattern I can personalize it with knit-in designs like letters or motifs or add poms or such. The gauge would of course depend on the size yarn and needles selected.
