I finished these socks a few days ago. They are knit with KnitPicks sock yarn, Dancing on size 2 dpns. The pattern is called Cascading Leaves by Jeanne Townsend. This pattern is a very fun knit, although the yarn takes some getting used to because of the elastic in it. I’m afraid that I didn’t have my tension right when I cast on which caused them to be loose, so I sewed some elastic in the top of each sock which seemed to do the trick
Love them! Beautiful yarn, great pattern, superb socks!
I’ve got to admit, I’m intimidated by socks… I think I’ll stick with scarves & blankets for a while longer.
Those turned out really well!
I love those! I think you’ve inspired me to use my Dancing yarn with that pattern.
I was hoping we would see some of your socks soon. They look great. Where did you find the pattern?
:notworthy: ALL HAIL TO THE SOCK QUEEN!!
LOL, u r too funny, KK
I found the pattern in one of my socknitting groups @ Yahoo, it’s the TownsendSockKnitALong; there are several beautiful patterns there! The pattern really is shown off with solid yarn, but this is a gift & all of my solid sock yarn is handwash & I don’t expect my aunt to handwash her socks…LOL!!
Cate, Dancing is fun to work with, it’s a little hinky casting on bc of the elastic in it, I found that I cast on too loosely & cast on tighter on the pair I’m working on now, after that, it was okay to work with
AnreeAce, please don’t let socks intimidate you…I was SCARED TO DEATH of socks, now they are my favorite things to knit! Whenever you are ready to knit them, let us know…there are LOTS of tutorials online…a great one done by our very own Silver
I’m off to knit another pair…
those are beautiful!
Why, thank you very much
Stunning! Good photo shop work too
Thanks …I don’t have Photo Shop, I was just playing around in Paint…Thanks a bunch
Fun isn’t it? If you like playing with that stuff you ought to try Adobe Photoshop Elements. It does a lot of photo shop type stuff buy WAY less $$$.
They’re beautiful, and I’m sure your aunt will love them! Socks are so much fun to knit. :happydance:
Thanks so much !! I’ll have to give the Adobe photo software a thought…thanks, Kemp!!
Those are gorgeous, Becka! (No surprise there, Sock Queen!)
It’s so wonderful to see you and your handiwork back on KH!!
