Caron Bliss

Hello all,

I got this yarn out of the clearance bin at Wal-mart but I have no idea what to do with it. It is a bulky Acrylic/Nylon blend. Very, very fuzzy poof of a yarn. It has a creepy looking scarf pattern on it but I will not be making that. Anyway, I wanted some suggestions on things to make with this yarn. (remember I’m still a newbie) What type of stiches work/look best with it. Any draw backs to it? How to make it look a little smoother…bascially anything ya got.

Well, this link is from the manufacturer and has a few pattern ideas. I’d think that for something like this, you’d want to do a scarf, or possibly use it as trim in another project. I love yarns like this, but never know what to do with them.

You’ll want something with a plain stitch pattern, garter or stockinette with a border.

Fuzzy yarns hide stitch definition so it’s best to stick with plain stitches as Sue said. What you make also has to do with how much you have.

Sorry, I ment to say that I have a total of about 200 yards in a cute “Mango” color. Thanks to all for the help and advice.

That would just about be enough for a scarf, or a hat and wristwarmers. I think…

I think that fuzzy yarn would work well for making a teddy bear or a toy rabbit.
