Cardigan.......a Lacy Pattern

I was going to make my mom the Lion Brand easy 3 season cardigan

Then this weekend I watched (twice) the movie Stakeout (Richard Dreyfuss, Emilio Estevez, Madeleine Stowe - 1987)…and I saw the ADORABLE :inlove::woot:lacey cardigan she was wearing in several scenes and I thought I gotta have it!!! I WISH I could get a screenshot of it, but I don’t have the DVD. Does anyone? I would be forever grateful if someone could post a photo!
:muah:

I’ve searched for the pattern by movie name, etc. No luck. Does anyone know of THAT or any other sort of lacey/feminine looking cardigan???

OK, I guess I’ll just talk to myself here. :roflhard:

I’m looking for lacey cardigans and I’m finding some pretty ones. Check this one out:

How about these, from Elann?

LACY TOP DOWN V-NECK CARDIGAN

PEACOCK PLUMES CARDIGAN WITH KIMONO SLEEVES

I remember that first one I loved it and marked it for making it in the future for me. Not the right style for my mom, but thanks for reminding me!
:muah:

Here’s the best picture I could find of the cardigan… I don’t have any patterns to suggest though

:muah:Oh, you’re an angel! But the graphic link is a tripod.com logo. Can you please try again? Or post the link???

Wait…for some reason your link sent me to a different page but I got around it, here it is. The best look I got of it was when Stowe was not facing the camera and was a full body shot.
:muah:Thanks again a million for finding this!!! If anyone else has a better shot please post!:

oops. Sorry about that, but I’m glad you got it to work.

Saw this beautiful one on another post and though it’s not lacey, I love it!

Not lacy, but one that’s on my “to make” shortlist: http://www.lanagrossa.com/service/mdm/01_2007/index.html

Thanks! My favs were #1 & 2
#1)

#2) [It’s VERY similar to the one in Stakeout]

Thanks for posting these sites. Many of the lace sweaters I just love. I’m printing them out to add to my “someday” book.

My “someday book” is getting pretty thick!!! I may have to live 4 lifetimes just to get half of them done. LOL!

I find I like keeping track of them on my blog, that way I can access the links at any time. I put them on the very bottom under “Tempted to Knit Next :o]”
:flirt:

I love this one. Its still in my “to do” pile though.

Why is it SOOOOOOO hard to choose a cardigan pattern? Is it because it’s a big job and you don’t want to get halfway into it and hate it before it’s finished?!?

I just saw the cover of the latest (Fall '07) cover of Interweave Knits Magazine! It’s called Tilted Duster: :woot:

I just got the latest Creative Knitting magazine, largely because of the cardigan on the cover. It’s Patons SWS and just gorgeous.
You can see the cover at http://www.creativeknittingmagazine.com/ and another view at http://www.creativeknittingmagazine.com/pages/features_details.php?_id=145

 • just lovely.

Yes, I saw that one at Walmart today. Very nice. Almost bought it! But I want Interweave Knits’ cover cardigan  Looking for that one now.

I am making the Vermont Fiber designs Fir Cone Lace Cardigan. It is much easier than it looks and is working very quickly. http://www.vermontfiberdesigns.com/patterns/women/twin_set.php

Those are all nice. I LOVE it! That’s ONE MORE future OTN!
