[COLOR=“Purple”]I am knitting s striped scarf with a fisherman’s rib stitch. When I change colors, you can see the “wrong side” color change. Is there any way to keep this from happening?
Thank you,

Not in a rib stitch no…
Yes there is… some people just knit the joining color row, then continue in the ribbing pattern for the next row. Yes I know this sounds like it is wrong, but try it in a swatch… it hardly shows at all and gives a nice transition in color work.
Yes, Tygah has a good method of joining without the seam showing on the “wrong” side. He has a video on YouTube, so if you google Tygah
you should be able to find it.
Here’s the link to the video Joyval mentioned:
Well. That was an interesting video. I’ll have to try it sometime.
I want to try it too, Jan, but I have a feeling it will produce an “imperfect graft” because of the casting on, sort of like a provisional cast on that comes up a stitch short and so things don’t align precisely. That said, it could still be something I would want to use because it would be less obvious than just changing colors. I think my crochet hooks that attach to my cables would make getting the yarn through the stitches quick and easy if I were doing a lot of them and circs would eliminate transferring stitches from needle to needle as he does.
I agree. I prefer to just live with the results since it’s a normal part of knitting. Knitting in the round is also an option.
