Can I use my straight size 13 needles for this size 13 Circular Needle Pattern

I’ve knit a bunch of scarfs and want to finally try to knit a sweater. I’ve only ever used straight needles and that’s all I own. Can I use straight needles to create this sweater? And if so, what adjustments do I need to make to the pattern?

Hi and welcome!
The body of this sweater is knit as one piece, fronts and back. It means that you’ll have a large number of sts at that point and a circular needle is used to accommodate that number. You’d be knitting back and forth rather than joining to knit in the round.

It’s not difficult to use circular needles and the advantage here is that you won’t have to squeeze all the sts onto a straight needle.
