I lost my 3.0mm needles and to obtain gauge, I’d have to go up from 2.5mm. I have 2.75mm but the pattern calls for 2.5mm and then 3.0mm. Will it make a huge difference in a baby romper?
To me it sounds fine to use 3.25 in place of 3mm, it’s just going to make it slightly bigger isn’t it, which is not so bad for a baby garment as baby clothes and baby sizes vary so much anyway.
If possible I would size up in both of the needles required so that the overall size increase is even.
I would go for it myself.
