Will crocheting an edge along the bottom of a stockinette stitch piece prevent it from curling? I’m asking because I don’t want to do a border of garter or seed stitch and was hoping I could maybe do a decorative crocheted edging instead to prevent the stockinette from curling.
It will help…I have done that before and was satisfied with the results…however, I think there are some “knitting purest” that don’t like to mix crocheting and knitting.
I’ve done it many times, and it definitely works. I find that a single row of single crochet just isn’t enough to hold down the curl, so you might want to get creative with the crochet.
