Can anyone with "Debbie Bliss Essential Baby" give me a hand on a pattern?

I’m doing the pattern in “Debbie Bliss Essential Baby” called “first coat” (page 47). I have all the pieces done but I don’t understand the sleeve attaching part. Can anyone who has this book or done this pattern before give me some direction?

EDIT
I think I’m getting it but I’m not the greatest at piecing sleeves. Any tips on attaching sleeves in general that anyone has would be great!

Does this look odd or is it just me?

If the photo was a little larger I think it would help us see it. They can be up to 800x600. I can’t really help, but I’m sure someone else can.

better and from a different vantage point

I’m thinking of undoing the seams on that side. I just did the second sleeve and it looks much better than the first.
