Good to know! Add that to the fact that I don’t eat anything that will make my hands dirty, and often will forsake a meal to finish something, it adds up!
go to caloriesperhour.com It will ask you the basic questions, gender, age, height, weight, etc. Look for the calories burned per activity chart or whatever it is, and you should be able to get your personal number of calories from there.
I burn 114 calories per hour by knitting. Now I must knit more so I can burn more calories… since I am unable to excercise by conventional means. This opens all new doors! :cheering: :cheering:
Has anyone ever tried knitting while on a treadmill or reclining cycle? I have to join the gym, but would really rather knit. I think I’ve heard of people knitting and walking, so it should be the same, right?
92 calories per hour for me. Guess I gotta keep going to the gym. I wish I could knit while on the elliptical trainer. It would make me a lot more motivated to go… I must say, though, that a good project keeps me from eating cookies because I don’t want to get crumbs on my fingers. Maybe we should promote knitting as a new diet fad? It’ll have to have a catchy name though - “The KnitFit Diet - Keeps your fingers working instead of snacking…” :roflhard: I kill me sometimes with my crazy brain…
