Cabled Mitts!

Hi!
Have begun some cabled mitts today and feeling a bit out of depth now! Can anyone help me with this step of the pattern:
1st row: knit
2nd row: k23 p6 k3 p6 k to end
3rd row: knit
4th row: as 2nd row
5th row: k4 * st next 3 sts to a cable needle and leave at back of work k3, k3 sts from cable needle k3 rep from * once more k to end
6th row: as 2nd row
These 6 rows form the patt
Work 2 more rows of patt

SO I’ve completed to the end of row 6, it’s the bit about the 6 rows forming the patt that’s confusing me. Is it asking me to do row 1&2 again?

Yes, repeat rows 1 and 2 for now and then go on to the gusset.
Ultimately you’ll probably be repeating the entire 6 rows for the mitts.

Yes The 6 rows create the cable pattern , so start again on rows 1 and 2

Be sure to start on the Rows 1 and 2 that are in the second group. Rows 1-6 are the pattern they want u to repeat. NOT the first Rows 1-2.
