This is my first attempt at cables, and for some reason I am getting very ugly bobbles at each crossing. Any one have any idea what I’m doing wrong? It’s just a very simple k2 p2 all the way across. Thank you for any insight!
Are you twisting the last stitch? What does the pattern say?
Try stretching out your piece in both directions a little. You may also want to wash and block it to see if that evens out the sts. Unless you have a purl st where it should be a knit st or vice versa on the WS…
I was thinking the same thing as Suzeeq… maybe try working it a little with you fingers to see if you can get it to look normal… if you look at your work some have it more than others.
Hope you can work it out…
Thank you all for your advice!
I played with it a bit and I can get the bobbles to look ‘normal’ by pushing them into the cabled section. I guess the piece will need a lot of blocking…lol. Hopefully my technique will improve as I go further!
Thanks again!
