I am finishing up the Yarnspiration precision wrap sweater. I just need to weave in ends and one seam and then add the buttons. It dawned on me there were no instructions for button holes. I am not sure why not. What just attach thru a stitch?
Button holes or lack of
Hello
There is a button hole row on the left front, another on the right front. If you have mistakenly missed them out you can work an afterthought button hole as @Marlene495Hadley has mentioned. There are versions of no-cut afterthought button holes if you’re nervous about snipping the knitted fabric. I used one of these methods on 2 cardigans and it worked a treat.
This is such sweet sweater. You might also consider sew-on snaps or covered snaps for the closure. The ones on the inside can be plain and the one on the outside could have a deorative button over it. There are even magnetic snaps for easy use.
I think I was having a senior moment. The hole was so tiny I missed it but upon closer inspection I found the holes.
Great result!
All done, well except sewing on buttons. I had blocked each piece prior to sewing together. The seams especially sleeve to body do not seem to lie flat, like when you iron a shirt. Should I soak again and put on blocking board or will this just relax naturally
