hi thanks for answering, it is exactly like that

pattern is called bubble stich cardigan with paintbox yarns

Very nice! We’ve had a couple of questions about this pattern in the past. Can you follow the row count for the pattern stitch as given in the Paintbox instructions where rows 6 and 12 are the knit into the stitch 4 rows below?

That’s a very good idea,I will try that.this is .y first foray into I sitting a garment for many years! And then my granddaughter ’ commissioned me ’ to knit this cardigan for her,so I want to get it right.Thank you for your very kind help. I do really appreciate it

I am afraid I still cannot accuratley count the rows

There are multiple ways to count rows as you knit that may help. You can use a row counter, an app, or plain old useful paper and pencil. I find that counting every 2 rows works more consistently for me. Every time I turn to the beginning of the knit side, I count off 2 rows.
As you work this pattern I think it’ll become easier to judge the 5 rows between the row where you knit below. You’ll also be able to see whether it’s a row 6 or a row 12. That comes with the knitting.
There are multiple suggestions throughout this recent thread.
