Hi anyone have a link to Broomstick Lace Patterns?? Already checked http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory/tunisian_crochet.php and Stitch Diva.com… any others out there? Thanks
Looking for a baby afghan pattern I made in the 70’s, I stumbled on this site.
Hope it helps!
I have a few and the key word is few pattern books on broomstick lace. I got them back in the seventies maybe and it never seem to be popular even then. I thought the patterns were lovely and got whatever came out.
How pretty is this?
http://www.stitchdiva.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=FREE008 although it “reads” hairpin lace…which I have tools for too!!! Just found these:

The first link is hairpin lace but I don’t think it has the lacy affect because of the material used. Broomstick lace has big hole like the scarf but hairpin is lacy. I thought the shawl was too tacky for me but you can see the stitches are made by hairpin lace tool which allows for large spread loops on both sides because of the adjustable loom.
yea, after I downloaded I realized “hairpin” (I happen to own very old hairpin tools)…I know what “broomstick” is and I found a few on Raverly…I personally do not think any “needlework” is tacky…I love looking at any/all of it!!!
Let me rephrase my remark. I find it tacky because of the material used. Personally it was yuk. I believe that crochet and knitting and needlework is art but the material used was not to my liking.
You could always google it. I have a pattern for a pullover using Broomstick lace for sale here: http://lavonneknotjustknits.com/id15.html I’m not sure if that the type of think you’re looking for or not.
Yes, Yes…very nice Thank you:muah:
