Last Night my 10yo fell into the glass stove top on my electric range.
She is fine, a couple small cuts, ER will cost a chunk of change for the x-ray, but they got the glass out.
Anyone ever had to fix one?

Oh gracious! No idea on the $$ to fix, but I hope your child is okay.
her biggest worry is that her bandaide is wet from her shower, so we changed it. No needles, no stitches, no swelling, she is fine

I’d be willing to guess a new range would be cheaper than replacing the glass. Tempered glass is very expensive. To replace the glass doors on my fireplace was $600. I would imagine the glass and labor to get someone to come out and pull the old glass and install the new would be $$.
Glad your daughter is okay. That must have been some fall.
I did a google search and it looks like you can order the top from www.repairclinic.com or www.partadvantage.com and using the specs from my range it would cost $259 - $400 to replace and at lowe’s.com it looks like a new one would be about $400-$600.
Not cheap.
I just remember that my mother in law was leaning on hers and it broke. They had to get a whole new stove. :pout:
