Brioche stitch help

Hello all,

I’ve been practicing the brioche knit stitch by making little swatches, but every time something happens a few rows in and I end up in a loop and keep repeating row one where I knit two together in the beginning but at the end of that same row I’m supposed to end with a knit two together and knit the last stitch but instead I end up with a slip one knit one.

Not sure if I worded it correctly, so if what I wrote is confusing let me know and I’ll try to clarify.

This is the method I use for Brioche. It uses an odd number of sts and works well.

This is the method I’m using and I followed her videos but still end up making a mistake. My guess is that I’m forgetting a yarn over

That’s easy to do. Count your sts at the end of rows for awhile and see if it helps. Count the yo and slip stitch as one and you should get the same count as the cast on.
