Border on pinwheel baby blanket?

I have just started the pinwheel baby blanket from knitlist…http://www.knitlist.com/00gift/round-baby-blanket.htm
…and I’m not sure how to do the border. Probably some sort of garter stitch for a few rows, to make it lay flat…but do I keep increasing as I go, so it doesn’t pucker? (I wouldn’t want to do YOs then, would i?)

Any thoughts, much appreciated!

Happy Black Friday! (of which I will spend zero time shopping, and a whole lot knitting…)

If you do a garter stitch border, yes, you’ll need to keep doing increases. I would probably just keep doing the YO’s, but I don’t think that the increase method will really matter much.

when I did this blanket, I did bunch of little crochet loops around the edge (dc1, ch3 around), but I’ve also seen a lot of people do an applied i-cord for the border and some also with a knit ruffle.

i did a garter stitch border on mine. i used the kfb increase.
