Book Recommendation

I wonder if anybody have any favorite books that deal with resizing and designing knitting patterns.

I really like the pattern Mosey (legwarmers) from Spring Knitty 08 but would like to make them for both my 13 year old and my 2 year old.
When the little one sits in the pushchair she always kicks off her blanket and I thought that it would be a good idea to knit something like these to keep her legs warm.
So I would like to learn more about resizing etc.

I get a lot of my information from the internet and just print it out.

I usually just experiment. but leg warmers are like socks so I guess if you uses the basic construction for the leg of socks it would work. Senstaional Knitted Socks has TONS of info on socks.
