BO for a vest. HELP!

I’m making a vest for my dad and the pattern says this:

Work 32 sts even in patt, join new yarn and BO centre 26 sts in patt, work even in patt to end - 32 sts each side.

I did that as evidenced here:

But now it says this:

Working each side separately, BO 4 sts at each neck edge 2 times, and at the same time, BO 8 sts at each armhole edge 2 times, then 8 sts once, no sts remain.

I don’t get it. It’s probably the simplest thing ever too…

Please help!

Bind off 4 at the neck and finish the row.
Bind off 8 at the shoulder edge and finish the row.
bind off 4 at the neck
bind off 8 at the shoulder
Bind off final 8

Thank you, Ingrid! You’re a mastermind!

Sorry Ingrid, one more question.

bind off 8 at the shoulder
Bind off final 8

is this in the same row?

No. If that was the case, they would have said to bind of 16. Bind off the 8 at the shoulder edge and finish the row, then bind off the final 8 on the way back.

I’m sorry for the endless questions, Ingrid. So the first reply to my question, that’s being worked on each side?

So, those instructions would be per division?

Nevermind!! I got it.
