Hi what does it mean to partially block in knitting. ?
Sometimes it means blocking the project partway through knitting to give you an idea of the finished look. What is your pattern name and at what point does it recommend partial blocking?
I’m sorry the pattern says block lightly.

Very delicate and pretty.
You could wash and lay flat to dry. Push the blanket into shape (square or rectangle) and ~correct dimensions. This is as opposed to pinning it out and stretching it to a given size as you might with lace.
Check the ball band on your yarn to see the recommended wash method.
