Blocking After Pompom attached

Hi,

I knit this penguin jumper for my little girl to wear over Christmas. I just realised though I was probably supposed to block before attaching the pompom to the hat?

It is fairly secure so ideally I dont want to redo. Can I block the pompom or any suggestions on best methods to work around it?

Thanks in advance,

That sweater is adorable!
You could wash it according to the ballband directions and lay it flat to dry. It’s going to be washed several times later so no reason not to start now. The pompom should be fine although it might take a bit longer to dry.

I saw tutorial about how to make pom poms perfectly fluffy, washing is not a problem, one method was to soak and dry in a machine in a bag which starts to felt and fluff the pom pom. I did wonder at first why anyone would want a pom pom different to how it is made but the results in the tutorial are rather nice.
Anyway here it is

Your sweater is fantastic.
