I got a Mary Maxim magazine in the mail today. I was curious if you of you have purchased the kits to knit a blanket. Maybe not from MM, but from any company. There is one that I am interested in. It says that is comes with the pattern and yarn.
If you have purchased one before… do they include just enough yarn or plenty? Are they usually worth the money?
I haven’t, but I would have to assume the put enough yarn in. Personal knitting style varies, but you’d think they take that into account and put enough in there. One way to check is find the pattern online and see how much yarn is recommended for the pattern. If the yarn in the kit is the same or more then you should be fine.
“Not I” said the Flower. giggle No, I haven’t, but what Jan said makes sense.
My mom got me a kit for an afghan using Lion Brand Homespun, the kit came with plenty of yarn, plus the needles and a crochet hook for adding the fringe. I left the fringe off so I had an extra skein of all three colors.
I have bought from Mary Maxim for years! the kits always had plenty of yarn to finish the project, the patterns are always very clear and easy to follow.
