Dear everyone
I have ordered amd am expecting the Kim Hargreaves book “Adore’“ But I want to get started with the Bitten pattern as I have the yarn already so just want to get going.
Does anyone here have the book to let me know how many stitches to CO for the small size and on which size needles and the first few rows so I can start before the book comes from America.
I am hoping somone can help as I hate nit knitting!!
Thanks
Sarah
Maybe you can work a swatch or two whilst you wait? Looks like 4 strands held together, have you worked like that before? I haven’t, I know I’d need a swatch to practise how to manage my yarns, check the gauge, and how the fabric turns out.
It looks lovely.
It’s does doesn’t it. It’s all for my daughter as she is my biggest recipient.
I know what you mean about the swatch but I don’t even know which size needle is recommended for this but im guessing large. I have only knitted with 2 skeins not 4.
I have 3 in waiting behind this one too.
Thanks for responding
Sarah

Very pretty sweater and a wonderful gift for your daughter!
The suggested needle size is US13 (9mm) and that may be a good starting point. The gauge is 10sts and 13 rows in 4 inches so you could cast on 15sts or a few more. That way you can measure over the middle 4 inches avoiding the edge sts.
Keep each of the yarn skeins separate, maybe in its own bag or bowl. That works much better than rolling the 4 strands into one giant ball.
