Bind off without pointed end

I can’t find the the post where it tells how to bind off neatly without getting a pointy corner at the end of the bind off. Does anyone remember where it is? I searched but couldn’t find it.
Thanks

There are some ideas-- like on the last stitch to pick up a leg of the stitch below the stitch and knit it tog with the last stitch as you get ready to bind it off. But I have never had much luck with such things. Besides ending by taking the last loop on the needle and pulling the tail through it, an alternative is to leave the needle in the last loop you end up with, cut the yarn and then pull on the needle until it enlarges the loop so that the tail comes though it. That works pretty nicely.

You can knit the last 2 sts tog and bind off that stitch. I sometimes do what I do to avoid the jog when binding off for knitting in the round; I BO the last st, then stick my needle into it again, or the st below it and pick up another st and bind it off. This makes the end st less prone to stick out.
