For a first project, it looks like you’ve been crocheting a long time! Very well done. It’s beautiful.

On my honour I’d never even made a square before!

Hmm only if you don’t look too closely at the joining bits. I was OK on the straight but the corner intersections are a bit bodged in places. Even so, I’m ridiculously pleased with it. Xxxx

Honestly, nobody but you will notice. You SHOULD be ridiculously pleased with yourself! Good job, you!

Wow! That’s amazing! I’m sure you learned a lot! Now make a solid color blanket and see how much easier that is! Nothing like starting with the hard stuff! I don’t think I’d ever make one like yours because of all the loose ends to weave in. Well, I guess I have done something similar since my daughter asked me to. It was baby-sized though.

I believe you! Just think what you’ll be making a year from now. I applaud you! As for the corners which only you will ever notice, as ColoCro says, if you achieved total perfection on your first project what would you have to look forward to learning? You’ve got a lot of great projects to come.

Beth, as a knitter I was all over that lol. I did all the circles then wove in the ends. The same with the squares. If I’d had to do it all at the end I’d have binned it lol.

Wow, massive first project! Brilliant! Everything I crochet looks like old dish rag!

Ah, I bought the blanket yarn pack. The yarn is Yarnsmiths lagoon double knit which is a lovely random coloured yarn. It looks lovely.

For me using charts is way to do crochet, easier to follow than written instructions. I just can’t follow long rows of instructions it makes me anxious and tense.
Nice of you for not giving up, maybe you will like it this time.
Blanket looks like wery good way to start, easy squares. Good luck Hamfisted with your project :grinning: You can do it
