I have to share what happened yesterday (I can’t believe I just remembered to share it with you)… :teehee:
My doorbell rang, and two of my dogs started barking, as usual. They accompanied me to the door to see who was there. As I opened the door, the dogs tried to come out, so I had to gruffly tell them to stay back. Then I turned and smiled, saying hi to the young girl (probably middle school age).
Here’s how the conversation went:
Girl: “Hi, I’m raising money for college,”
Girl pauses and glances out of the corner of her eye at my dogs…
Also wondering what kind of big scary dogs you have…
I’m afraid of big, scary yorkies. This lady on my paper route had an attack yorkie, though a few times she dogsat for a cocker spaniel and I would joke that the yorkie was morphing bigger… then one day there was a rottweiler at that house… (The rott looked friendly though)
Nathalie I am shaking in my boots at your big scary dogs!:teehee: This weekend I had a similar experience while watching my bro’s dog. The UPS guy left a package at the end of our side walk because both the dogs were inside barking at him. Here are my big scary dogs. The black one is Bentley (mine) and the little guy fighting sleep is Malden (my bro’s)
Last weekend was my DGD’s birthday party. They had one more guest than they had invited because I brought my big and scarey dog Boots with me. He kept everyone in line that day, with his oh so noisy bark and his huge fangs.
Boots now weighs in at 6 lbs. 4 oz. which is smaller than both of my children when they were born.
He does not bark when someone comes to the door. He could care less! If they had food in their pockets, now then he would care!!!
HAHA that’s great !! My parents newpaper stopped showing up suddenly and when they contacted the paper they said the paperMAN was scard of our dog…the dog apparently barked at him from an upstairs window one morning and so he stopped delivering the paper :roflhard: Not b/c the dog runs loose in the yard and bit him or chased him … he barked from an upstairs window.:teehee:
What a chicken! Heck, Pele howls from the front window…I’m surprised people walk past our house. But looking at pictures of him lying around on the couch…do you really think he would hurt anyone? :roflhard:
: Killer Dogs! We have a poodle, about as sweet as they come; however, IF anyone comes to the door she becomes the ferocious beast on the block. She couldn’t fight her way out of a paper bag. Don’t you just love them for keeping their people safe and sound? Dogs Rule!! :biting:
