Has anybody seen Sex and The City - the movie? In one scene, Sarah Jessica Parker was wearing a really beautiful big, red, fluffy scarf (below is the link for the picture).
Does anybody know what pattern on that scarf? Thank you.

it looks like it has cables on it seperated by seed stitch with a garter stitch border and k2,p2 ribbing on both ends, but it’s so far away, I can hardly tell, I could be completely wrong.
but I would get some light worsted weight yarn
I would get some acrylic --i know “AHH acrylic!”-- but it’s cheap, and you can wash it (which is good for a scarf) and if you are diving into a pattern you don’t really know then you won’t feel that bad if it doesnt come out perfectly. My suggestion is Caron Simply Soft Lupine Red (you can get it at walmart)
now the pattern (out of my brain)
special stitch: C4F slip 2 stitches onto cable needle and hold in FRONT of the work, knit two stitches from the left needle, knit 2 stitches from the cable needle
with size 7 needles Cast on 62 stitches
work in k2,p2 ribbing for 1 inch ending with a wrong side row
ROW 1 right side: (k4, p1) twice, *(k1,p1)three times, p1, k4, p1, repeat from * 3 times MORE, k4
ROW 2 wrong side: k5, p4, k1, *(p1, k1) three times, k1, p4, k1, repeat from * 3 times MORE, k4
ROW 3 right side: k4, p1, C4F, p1, *(k1,p1)three times, p1, C4F, p1,
repeat from * 3 times MORE, k4
ROW 4 wrong side: repeat row 2
Repeat these 4 rows until desired length is reached,
Work in k2,p2 ribbing for 1 inch, bind off in ribbing.
weave in ends.
THERE, a beautiful scarf for you (I hope the pattern works out)
