Dear Knitters. I’m trying to find out the pattern of the sweater that Nicole Kidman wears at her latest film “Beweatched”, so any help will be very much appreciated.
I started hissing to DD during this movie! “Look at that sweater! Where’s my pen! I need to take notes!”
DD started hissing: “Shut up, Mom! It’ll come out on video!” :roflhard:
It’s a turtleneck with raglan sleeves. Deceptively simple. I’m pretty sure that stitch pattern is “honeycomb”. It’s probably not done in the round, but you could. Is that k2, p2 ribbing? Somebody else chime in here!
I think you could copy this pretty easily. I haven’t seen a pattern for it. Good luck!
looks like it. I’d say trial and error to get it exactly, and beg major free pattern mongels to make the pattern for you. It worked with the martha poncho lol.
Here’s the stitch pattern:
cn = Cable needle
Sl= slip
k= knit
p= purl
Multiple of 8 sts
Rows 1,5,7 and 11, knit
Row 2 and all even rows, Purl.
Row 3: *Sl 2 sts onto cn and hold at front, k2, k2 from cn, sl 2 sts onto cn and hold at back, k2, k2 from cn; repeat from * to end of row.
Row 9: *Sl 2 sts onto cn and hold at back, k2, k2 from cn, sl 2 sts onto needle and hold at front, k2, k2 from cn, repeat from * to end of row.
Row12: Purl.
Repeat rows 1-12
the back of the sweater looks like ribbing, and then the front at the top looks like ribbing that come down on the sides, as well as at the wrists.
Maybe 3x3 or 4x4 ribbing up top and the wrists look like they could be P3, k2, P1, K2, repeat. or possibly 3x3 or 4x4. Hard to tell. The back looks like the same sort of ribbing.
It also looks like the sweater is knit first without the turtleneck and that maybe the stitches are picked up later to create that.
actually, when I said the “back of the sweater” i think i was wrong. it looks like the side of the sweater has ribbing and the back is the honeycomb stitching again.
