Yes, it’s for a scarf. I want the ends to look like they are on fire but burn out towards the center. I can’t find a pattern for flames, and I thought about just mixing red, orange and yellow, but it’s not giving the right effect.
I think making wavy points would look most like fire. Here’s a few links that show fire. Maybe you can get an idea from them.
There’s also a stitch called the chevron flame, and it somewhat resembles fire. Here is a link:
