Best knitting stitch book

Hello all.

Can anyone suggest the best knit stitch book? I’m looking to add another stitch book to my collection of knit books. I already have 2 two that are Vogue. I’m looking for a larger compliation so I don’t have to buy 1200 books. Thanks!

Do you mean a book that uses only the Knit stitch?? Or just a general book about knitting???

What about an online source? New stitch a day
http://newstitchaday.com/knitting-stitchionary/
is a wonderful resource for stitch patterns and how-to videos. They also have a fun newsletter which gives you the knit and the crochet stitch of the day.

Knitting Fool - http://www.knittingfool.com/ - is another good online stitch directory. You can look things up by name or by type. Or even by number of stitches wide.

The Harmony Guides typically come highly recommended, although most people rave about the older ones and don’t care for the newer ones. And of course, there’s Barbara Walker’s stitch directories, which are pretty much classics. (Two websites - http://www.knittingonthenet.com/stitches.htm and http://thewalkertreasury.wordpress.com/ include many of sittches from her book online.)

Me? I just check them out of library, browse for inspiration and take them back. I’d never get any knitting done if I could go through stitch references all day.

Yes, knit stitch.

Cool! No, I haven’t heard of this site and excited to try it out. Thank you so much. Yes, I usually check books out too rom library, but also would love to add to my book collection. Appreciate it.

Yes, that is my go to spot, but trying to branch out. Thx!

The Complete Photo Guide to Knitting is probably the best one I’ve found. It has a TON of different patterns, including using multiple yarns, lace work, and cables.

400 Knitting Stitches is also good, but they don’t go into super advanced techniques.

I subscribe to Johnny’s weekly/daily stitches! I love his website!

Thank you very much!
