Bernat shawl collar cardigan

Help! I’m stuck and have no idea how to move forward making this cardigan. I have knitted the body and the sleeves - the next step is the yoke.

Where do I start knitting the yoke? Do I start knitting onto the body, which has all stitches sitting on a length of yarn. And, per the instructions, I am only knitting one row of the yoke and then the knitting begins to shape the raglan and the v-necks, correct? The directions were perfectly clear until I got to this step.
Thanks for any and all help!

This picture shows the yoke instructions better -

You’re doing very well to get so far without a problem. For the yoke you’re going to join the left front, sleeve, back, sleeve and right front. Start with a wrong side (WS), purl row and the left front (left as you would wear the sweater. Place the markers according to the directions and end the row having worked across the right front. All of the pieces are worked on WS rows.

Yes, once you’ve worked the joining row across all the pieces, go on to the raglan and V-neck shaping on the RS knit row.
