My husband would love for me to knit him slippers, but I am a beginning knitter. Are there any very simple patterns out there? thanks, Carolyn
I haven’t made this one, but looks pretty easy.
Tons more here to look through
KPC Slippers
This is my first time here and I just came over to post my new easy slipper pattern. What a koinkidink to find you asking for it. LOL! Here’s a link to the ladies’ version:

The only difference for a man is to make them longer and make the seam narrower.
These are super easy. No shaping. No circular knitting. Just K1, P2, and K2 together to decrease. Stitch them up with elastic thread and you’re done.
I made my husband’s first and worked harder than I needed to, but that version is still easy. I also made a pair for our daughter. That’s still another variation. I’ll post that one tomorrow, too.
Good luck. Let me know if you need any help. I’d also love to get some feedback on my instructions. I want to make sure they’re clear and easy to follow.

The second link is the standby pattern in my family.

My mom has one that’s good for beginners, it also teaches the basics of sock knitting, but on a large needle & double strand of yarn so that it’s easy and goes really fast…
These are my grandma’s favorite slippers, she can’t stand wearing store bought slippers anymore!!
Great site. Terrific photos. Clear instructions. Thanks. I linked to her from my site. Too bad she doesn’t have her email address on there anywhere. I would have sent her a fan letter.
