That’s absolutely adorable!

Thanks, everyone. It didn’t take that long because it was so much fun to make. I played with the layout a while because it was going to just have Mrs. Tiggywinkle on it, but as I looked at all the patterns in the book, I changed my mind.
It was made in one piece and the back is plainer with a basic pattern of the squares on the front and little knitted footprints in the center.
The back was very necessary since the back side of the intarsia is very messy.
I appreciate everyone comments sooo much.
I bought the book online, so if you’re interested in buying it, it’s out there.
That is absolutely the cutest baby blanket that I have ever seen! And the knitting is fantastic. Can you post a picture of the back?
I have one picture of the back, and a not-so-good close up of the baby feet.
Ingrid, I just HAD to look again b/c I love it so! I love back, too with the baby feet! Fabulous idea.

Thanks for the ‘back’ pics. That would be a great baby afghan on its own! One more question: Did you tack the two sides together in any other places than the border?
I did tack the front and back together, I believe just at the corners of the different motifs. It’s only been a few months, and there’s a lot I don’t remember about this. :??![]()
Awww, it’s so sweet!
Very cool
Absolutely lovely

Wow!!! and WOW!! again!! Truly amazing!!
Wow! I’m sure they love it!
This is a real work of art!
The front and the back looks amazing!
Congratulation, Ingrid!
Is it double knit? Or did you knit a back piece and then seam it together?
Oh…I see you tacked the back on, but not sure how it was made.
Thank you, everyone!
Jan–I knit the back separately and then picked up both stitches from the front and back and knit the border. In fact, I had made almost a complete log cabin-type back, but didn’t like it, so I started over. Figuring out what to do with the back was harder than deciding on the front!
:teehee: Thanks for the info! It came out fabulous!
Love your beautiful blanket. Yay that you added the knitter!
