Well, I am still trying to master crochet. Here’s my latest attempt. The pattern is from One Skein, by Leigh Radford. This one is just 17"x24"–quite a bit smaller than the original pattern. It’s large enough to serve the purpose, but I think it would look little nicer if it were just a bit larger. I used a 6.0 mm crochet hook. I had six balls of Sugar 'n Cream, but I used only four balls plus a few yards from the other two balls. This project calls for 2 strands held together. BTW, thanks to those of you who answered my questions on the crochet forum. Thanks to your help, I think I’m finally getting the hang of crochet!
That turned out really, really nice! Your wet feet will
it.
You certainly are getting the hang of it! Very well done.
Very cool project and very useful too. Looks like your crocheting skills are coming on a treat.
You are getting the hang of crochet! What a nice little bath mat!
This really looks great and seems you are getting hold of it. I read the title and came to see this thread. I am new here but the on going process of knitting looks great to me.
I have a query? Can we make rugs by knitting? I mean if I need some alternate color patterns in it? Then what is the trick to do it? What about grass pattern natural home rugs? Thoughts. :teehee:
Hi, there. Ravelry A quick search at www.ravelry.com. You should start your own thread, that way your question won’t get mixed in with someone else’s. It would be a good place to ask any questions you have about patterns for rugs you see too.
What a nice rug! So glad you are getting the hang of crochet, it can be very useful to be able to both knit and crochet.
You can definitely knit rugs. Other than bath mats, I haven’t knitted any. I have seen rugs knitted or crocheted with rags or T-shirts cut into strips. As GG mentioned, you can check Ravelry for some good ideas. I’m sure some others here will have ideas, too. Welcome!
It looks great! Looks to me like you got the hang of crocheting all right.
Oh yeah, that is so nice! I love knits for my bathroom, too!
