Balaclava Knitting Instruction Query

Hi, after much searching I have found the ideal BALACLAVA pattern on YouTube ’ Easy Knit Balaclava With Straight Needles | Monkey Cap | Helmet | Headgear With Written Instructions BUT, yes there’s always a BUT no way can I see where to be able to get the written instructions!!! I did try and write them as the knitter was making the balaclava but not possible. Does anyone know how I get these instructions please?

Are you getting the written directions in the upper left of the screen? Can you take screen shots on you computer or phone as the instructions come up?
If it helps you can slow down the speed of the video on the settings.

Hi, cannot see any instructions on the screen apart from a list of items needed to knit it. Unfortunately I am not computerwise so unable to do a screen shot, If the instructions did come up then I could use my mobile to photo them but unfortunately they do not.
Will have to sit with pen and paper and try and suss out what she is doing. Thanks for replying. Regards J

Hi, many thanks but unfortunately I cannot use circular needles as this would have been perfect otherwise. Will have to keep trying to suss out what the ‘knitter’ is doing on YouTube eh?

I realize that Ravelry searches aren’t always all they could be in returning the desired results but you might find one here. I specified worked flat but haven’t checked them out to see which ones truly are.

The instructions are very brief. They appear on the video when there is a new instruction to follow. The woman giving the tutorial speaks a lot but the actual instruction you need is said briefly in English and written on the screen. For instance cast on 70 stitches, work 4 inches in 2 by 2 rib.
There isn’t really much to write down but you have to wait for each short instruction to appear on the video as she works the piece.

Have you watched all the way through to see if you can spot the captions? I wonder if you are looking for a big instruction sheet (like most patterns) which this doesn’t have?

Hi There, just had to let you know that I have finished knitting the Balaclava using the pattern you kindly sorted out for me and it is perfect and I am so pleased with it that I have started knitting another one!!! So I am one happy bunny ha ha!!!

Hi, yes I have knitted a couple for my son when he goes walking in the Spanish countryside and they are ideal for the cold chilly nights.
