Backstitch and whipstitch?

i’m making a purse that says it should be seamed with the backstitch?
any clue on how to do that?

the purse needs to be attached to the handles with the whipstitch and i’m stumped on that too!

any help would be appreciated!! :thumbsup:

This has whipstitch–for canvas, but it’s the same. It’s pretty simple.
