Baby Vest Help!

I’m fairly new to knitting, and I try to tackle a more complicated thing everytime:

In my pattern it says:

“K2 in each of the next 2 sts.”

Does that mean I knit the front and back loop?

Can someone help? Sorry if this question is really elementary for you very talented folks

You got it!

Whenever I’m not quite sure what a pattern is asking I try to look for how many stitches there should be after the set of instructions. So the instructions hopefully say something like “K2 in each of the next 2 sts." [50 or whatever #] sts

So if I think they are asking me to do increases and if I do what I think and I end up with the same stitch count as they want me to be at, at that point, then I must have done it right. This isn’t fool proof but it’s another clue to solve the puzzle that these patterns can be!

Thank you  So funny how everyone has a different way to ask for an increase. This particular pattern is a translated one… you know how that goes…

Another clue is how it’s worded - if a patterns to inc in a stitch, that’s a kfb, the other increases are made between 2 sts.
