HI, Could someone help me by explaining these instructions in words that a baby could understand?? :teehee:
“When piece measures 19 1/2”, shape neck: Work 30 sts, join second ball of yarn and b.o. center 37 sts, work to end."
I’m a bit confused as to how this is all going to work out…Will I use another needle?? What is going to happen to the second ball of yarn after I have bound off the stitches?? Please, anyone who is explaining…simple and detailed…LOL…Thanks so much! Linda
Hi Linda,
Your going to leave the 30 sts you just knitted on the needle to knit later.
After you’ve used the 2nd ball to bo those stitches, you’re probably going to be told to knit the rest of the sitches after the 37.
I’d guess you’re going to have two lots of 30 stitches on either end of the needle, with this 37 st gap in the middle, which will be the neckline.
You’ll either work back and forth on one side, then go back to the other side. Or you’ll keep knitting both sides, using a separate ball for each side.
Hope this isn’t too complicated.
Lots of luck.
Shan
Hi, Thank you for your explanation! Now let’s hope that I can do it!! :knitting:
