I would like to make this sweater and just looking at it, I am kinda confused.
It says to cast on 33 stitches on a 29" circular needles, when I tried this, the stitches would not go around the needle obviously so what do I do? I apologize if this is a stupid question but I am a beginner and have only made few projects to date and wanted to make this. Thank you for any help.
Hello!!!
For this pattern, you don’t stretch the stitches around the needle. You knit back and forth across the stitches like with a pair of straight needles.
Cast on the 33 sts. Then knit the first row of sts. When u have finished that row, switch the needles in your hand so the needle in your left hand is holding the needle that has the yarn coming from it. Then knit the next 2 rows just like that. You will follow the directions using the circular needles like they are straights.

You’ll be knitting flat. It’s just easier on circulars.
Yes, knitted flat ![]()
Although if you ever do need to knit in the round on circulars that are longer than your project, you could use the magic loop method. It’s my favorite method ![]()
Thank you so much! I got it.
Thank you!
