Baby sun hat?

well me, for one…

Feef means steal, rip off, etc.

I don’t know if you found what you were looking for but I found this: Little Turtle Knits Bucket Hat on this site http://www.littleturtleknits.com/patterns.htm It is under wee ones and then the tenth one down. ~Brooke

Ooh, that one’s cute. I also found this: http://www.knittingatknoon.com/FSsunhats.html and this: http://www.tradewindknits.com/thsunhat.html It turns out that I own the pattern to the second one as it’s in the “Knitting Pattern-a-day” calendar which I have. I’ll see what I’ll do. I also found a couple of crochet patterns that might work. I don’t have a whole lot of crochet experience, but maybe it’s time to do something about that.

But here’s my finished Miss Dashwood:

Square!!! Sooooo cute! :cheering:

What yarn did you use for that? It looks really SOFT!

I used Plymouth Indiecita Alpaca and yes, it is very soft. I had this one skein that I bought on clearance at a yarn store some months ago. Now I’m dying to knit something else with alpaca yarn. :inlove:

Today I was at the playground outside my daughter’s school, and the baby was with me, wearing her new hat. A woman who works at the after school program came up to us and asked “Is this the hat from Knitty?” Apparently, the Miss Dashwood hat is getting famous. And it’s always fun to run into fellow knitters unexpectedly. :XX: :XX:

That’s sooo funny that someone recognized Miss Dashwood!!

I used Alpaca too and looooved knitting with it. I highly recommend KnitPicks Andean Treasure…not too pricey, and oh, so soft.
