What is an acceptable substitute for NCC for the north country cotton baby socks?
Since North Country Cotton is a worsted weight yarn, I imagine any worsted you wish to use should be fine. Merely take into consideration that it will be for a baby, so you’ll want it soft and washable.
I made my first socks from that pattern with Caron’s Simply Soft. It’s soft, washable, easy to work with, and cheap.
