First baby romper - used Sheepjes Softfun in Canary - knitted flat on #6 US. the yarn is 6% cotton, 40% Acrylic, which is not my favorite, but the garment has got to be machine washable or it’s just not practical. The end result is fairly soft, so I am happy with it and will probably do the other version of it, which is a chevron design in the middle. The pattern is Pippy Eve’s Lacy Romper.

So cute!
And very nicely made too.
I have used a cotton bamboo mix (stylecraft naturals) before which washes well, it’s not at all creased or out of shape when it comes out of the machine.
I have been avoiding buying acrylic but recently discovered some budget recycled yarns. King cole big value limited addition is 100% recycled acrylic which I’m going to try and also stylecraft recreate has a mix of recycled wool, recycled acrylic and recycled plastic bottles which can be machine washed and dried.
The colours are not as vibrant as some yarn collections though.
Worked out beautifully! I love the bright, cheery color and pretty pattern.
I’ve added the pattern to my favorites because what baby can’t use one or two of these adorable rompers? Thanks very much for the pattern information.
salmonmac,
It is my pleasure to be on the giving end for once! I am glad you will get as much fun out of the project as I have-
