I am in the process of knitting a cardigan size 0-3 months, this is the very first size
I am having difficulty understanding the pattern which reads:
Beg with K row, cont in st st,
dec1 st at each end of next [3rd: next 3rd] and 1[2: 4:5] 6th row . 55[61: 67: 73:] st
Please could anyone help
Hello
If you call the ânextâ row, row 1, then you will dec at each end of rows 1 and 7.
Row 7 is the following 6th row and is done once.
Hope this helps.
What is the pattern?
Hi the pattern is ârosy garden setâ by paintbox yarns
May have to give up on this pattern and a few more that I have printed off as too difficult and I have tried these modern patterns with very little success
Unable to find just a simple baby cardigan pattern but many thanks for your help
Thereâs lots of help here, we can help with understanding the rows at each stage so you can make the cardigan.
I have just downloaded the free pattern so I can see it, I am pretty sure some others here have made this too.
Would you like to try to continue with help? You can ask as many questions as you like as you work through. Replies are often quite quick although members are in different time zones.
Did you manage the decrease rows?
After those you work another 3 rows without decreases and then set up for the heart motif. It would be helpful to have some stitch markers or loops of contrasting thread to mark out the heart motif stitches.
If your question wasnât answered clearly enough please do say, itâs not always obvious which bit someone needs help with, and we all have different experiences and knowledge.
