I found a pattern for a bib that looks like an orange segment. It is super cute, but then when looking at the pattern, I noticed that it has icord for the strings. I was hoping to make it all one piece, with a button hole, but I don’t know how.
This is the pattern I want to make:https://www.allfreeknitting.com/Baby-Sets/Orange-Slice-Bib/?utm_content=buffer3024b&utm_medium=social&utm_source=pinterest.com&utm_campaign=buffer but this is how I want to make the back/opening Ravelry: Sigge's Bib pattern by PetiteKnit Do you have any suggestions how I can go about modifying it to make it the way I am describing?
Both are very cute patterns. You could work until 16sts remain or at whatever point you think will comforably fit along the baby’s neck in the front. Bind off some number of center front sts and continue to work sts at each edge until the bib fits completely around the neck with an overlap at the back for a buttonhole and button.
Thanks! I will do that for sure!
Well give it a try but it may need a couple of attempts before you get the rigth size for the neck opening including the span around to the back with the overlap. Worth the effort for such a cute pattern. Let us know how it goes!
I have many other projects on my needles, so I am putting this on hold for a while- I did buy orange yarn for it- so it is a save for later thing…
