I found this pattern for a bib, but I do not crochet. I was wondering, if instead of using a crocheted edging, could I just do stockinette stitch with a few garter stitches at the edges?
Sure. You can do just about anything you’d like. Keep in mind that stockinette curls and consider how wide you want the edging to be. I find that on the RS a column of purls between stockinette and border help manage flipping too.
