Hi there…I’m just about to start on a cotton baby bib that’s a bit different. Instead of ties the neck is knit like a pullover sweater. The instructions state that after I’ve knit the neck portuon that I need to BO 38 stitches with a #10 dp. My questio is WHY?? The neck is knit with #5’s, the body of the bib is #7’s…why would I need to bind off with #10’s…?? Thanks for your help!
Most likely the bind off should be loose or it won’t easily go over the baby’s head. If you can bind off very loosely a smaller needle is probably fine.
Thanks!!! That’s what I was wondering…as long as it’s loose enough… got it
